Transit - Destination
Directed by Kent Tate
Logline: Cities are where people tend to nest.
Synopsis: While not apparent for the most part, cities require far flung resources making them islands or something akin to a space station. Cities are also de facto barriers for many other animal species, especially those that require migration routes to survive.

Director's Statement: Occasionally I will spend some time in a city working on a project. In the mornings I like to take my cameras and tripods and walk around the periphery of the city's central skyscrapers. In North America most urban centers follow a typical pattern. There are a cluster of tall buildings in the center with a ring of parking lots, older warehouses, and a variety of obsolete structures on the edge of the city core. Beyond this zone, depending on the areas typography, a sprawl expands outward based on a template first developed in southern California in the 1950's. A template primarily designed for cars so that you don't see many people in the city core outside of typical business hours. That is except for the homeless and others who for some reason or an other don't appear to have a drivers license.
