Director's Statement: Tattoo is the first short film I have ever written and directed. It takes a lot of inspiration from my early childhood growing up in a small Jewish household My Zaydeh and Bubbeh were both survivors of the Holocaust and the effects of hardship they had to endure rippled through my family in many concrete and abstract forms. The impetus to create this film was to portray my childhood in a way that was both personal and relatable to audiences both Jewish and non-Jewish.
