Director's Statement: Period Piece is a film about many things. It is about positive thinking, living for the moment, climate change and North American politics. Beyond all of this it is an autobiographical allegory of the struggle to make a film and stick to a vision in spite of the swirling doubts and negativity that can dominate the discourse while filmmaking.
