Director's Statement: Nervosa explores the vicious cycle of bulimia. Immediately after a binge feelings of shame, regret and self hatred arrive and purging the enormous amount of food consumed quickly feels like the best solution. However, purging does not silence ED, the eating disorder's voice. Cutting can quiet ED temporarily, but ED will return to plan the next binge.
