Monster in the Coal Bin

Directed by Allen Schinkel

Logline: A young boy must face a future without his father.

Synopsis: The year is 1957; Furby, a sensitive eight-year-old boy, is struggling with his parent's recent separation. In a new city, he and his mother move into an ominous, old house where he is admonished by a coal deliveryman to "watch out for the monster in the coal bin". This sparks Furby's imagination and his subconscious fears of an unknown future surface. We watch Furby as he wrestles with these fears until finally confronting and transcending his "Monster".
