Director's Statement: Mishka is a film about goodbyes and their remnants. It's about being torn between past and future, longing for more but trying to keep a hold on to what once was. How often when endings happen, you don't know it was happening until you look back. The paths through the ravine behind my childhood home never change, but everything around them is different. Lost loved ones now only come as unreachable apparitions in dreams.
