Director's Statement: I started this animation based off a little sketch I had made in a notebook of an intricate series of tubes and alien devices that eventually spat out a hot dog. I liked the idea of over complicating a fairly mundane process to the point of absurdity. The fact that I chose to make it a hot dog machine and not a hamburger machine or shoe machine was just preferential, because the entire world is made up of these tiny religious devotions to making things that most people don't consider the origin of.
