Synopsis: 16mm German Expressionist homage film. From his lonely belltower, the aged Glöckner (Bellringer) watches the ravages of WWI on the village below. The eventual destruction of all he knows unveils his own soul in the form of a ghostly young girl, who leads him to transcendence through loss and beauty.
