Director's Statement: Based on my practice as a visual artist, it was a logical step to pursue stop-motion animation.
Black Forest Sanatorium is a story about pursuing love and companionship. As the narrative moves along, the protagonist engages with “patients" who reside within a sanatorium. Each encounter is critical and builds towards a crescendo.
Richly embellished with elements of the grotesque, viewing the film will bring delight. The remarkable talent of my collaborators sets it apart.
