Director's Statement: Traditional stories in the Canadian north are tied to specific places and yet a single story, with subtle variation, can criss-cross the landscape. In A Stranger On The Land the main narrative begins to dissolve as it is overtaken by the storm. Other voices begin to rise and mingle with the main narrative and we are left at a crossroads in the unknown.
